Trimming and Rehab

Same principles as barefoot horse trim but on a smaller scale!

Emphasis on maintaining sole thickness, creating ease of breakover, reducing leverage on the hoof wall, assessing frog health, and determining appropriate heel height. 

Aim is to reduce ongoing damage to the lamina by reducing leverage on the hoof wall, derotating the coffin bone, appropriately managing heel height, and reducing the laminar wedge.  Boot fitting and vet consultation. After the initial set up trim follow up trims are charged at the barefoot horse trim rate.

For turnout and long term wear.

For extensive riding on varied terrain and for performance needs. 

For extensive riding on varied terrain. Clunkier than performance boots but easier to put on.
